"If you build it, he will come." The classic line from the
movie, Field of Dreams, steals the idea from the book of Exodus. In
the final chapters of Exodus, God gives an exhaustive list of
instructions for building the tabernacle. The tabernacle is the
place where Israel can come and experience God's presence. "If you
build it, I will come," is in essence, what God tells Moses.
And over time (thousands of years), the tabernacle gave way to the
temple, and the temple gave way to the church, and with each
iteration, it was the place where the people of God could expect to
experience God.
So fast forward to today, what do we do when the church is closed?
What will we do if the church stays closed? How do we experience
the presence of God, without a building? Tune in, and find out!
